Online Scholarships Application OPEN 1 January 2025 to 1 April 2025 The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of New Jersey is taking applications for the following Scholarships: CSM Vincent Baldassari Memorial, USAA, CMSgt Richard W. Spencer, and the CSM John H. Humphreys Jr. Memorial Scholarship. This online application will be submitted to all of the above Scholarships. The following persons are eligible: Children, Grand Children, Step Children, and Adopted Children of New Jersey Guardsmen who are Active, Inactive or Retired members in good standing as members of EANG-NJ Active drilling Guardsmen Spouses' of Active, Inactive or Retired members that was in good standing as members of EANG-NJ Children, Grand Children, Step Children, Adopted Children & Spouses' of a deceased member that was in good standing as a member of EANG-NJ Associate members, spouses' or dependent children, grand children, step children, and adopted children, who are a member in good standing as a member of EANG-NJ Click Here to check EANGNJ Membership status. If your sponsor is a deceased member of the New Jersey National Guard and EANGNJ, please contact SGM Jason Petry at Eangnjassoc15@gmail.com Honorary Membership does not qualify any of the persons listed above eligibility to apply for scholarship. EANG-NJ Awards will be sent directly to the recipient made payable to the recipient. There shall be no consideration whatsoever given because of friendship, rank or grade of applicant, applicant’s parents, or applicant’s spouse. (Neither shall applicant’s geo-graphical place of residence be considered). Awards will be made on the basis of scholarship, character, leadership and need. All applications will be accomplished by: A transcript of High School Credits and a transcript of College for applicants already in institutions of higher learning. A letter from applicant with specific reason(s) as to his/her education and why financial assistance is required. Four (4) letters of recommendation verifying the application and giving moral and personal traits. (These should be from community leaders, ministers, elected official, Principal, Counselor, Dean or Professor, etc.). A 500 word essay in APA format about the importance of education. Former recipients of these Scholarships are not eligible to receive the same scholarship twice but can apply for one of the others available; Those persons who have previously applied for a Scholarship Award and were not selected may reapply. If the recipient does not complete the school term for which the scholarship is awarded (due to any cause other than sickness or physical injury) the recipient will refund the award to the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of New Jersey within sixty (60) days from the date enrollment was terminated. * I Agree to all of the above terms and conditions of the scholarship and am ready to apply.
